 Whether you have just stepped on the path of herbology or already have some understanding of it you will find this an exciting experiential and intellectual program. This program weaves the spiritual, energetic, and scientific aspects of herbs with Western & Eastern philosophies on herbs & healing. Students will study Traditional Chinese, Ayurveda and Western patterns, archetypes & protocols for specific imbalances (dis-ease). Students will receive a solid foundation in herbology and an introduction into homeopathy and nutrition. The focus of this class will be on common and acute health care issues. This is a hands-on class; students will make a variety of herbal preparations, go on herb walks, develop herbal formula making skills, exam specific plant actions and contra-indications and develop a materia medica of 50 +herbs.

CLASS TIME: This class meets usually the second weekend of the month from April through September. Classes are held from 9:30-3:00 pm with an optional yoga class available prior to class (8:00-9:15 am).

DATES: April 11, 12; May 16, 17; June13, 14; July 11.12; August 8, 9; September 5.

CERTIFICATE: students who attend 80% class and hand in all assignments will receive a certificate in Eclectic Herbalism.
